We designed a help system to enable our clients to navigate It’s A Party successfully and at a level each wants. The help system works a three levels:
- Walk Me Through gives verbiage blocks designed to give concept and direction. This is the initial level for new accounts.
- I’ll Select What I Need provides field level help in the form of bubbles that show their text when the mouse hovers over them. These bubbles also show if Walk Me Through help level is chosen.
- I’ve Got This eliminates all help from the pages.
The help level is set in two methods.
- The application-wide help level is set on the About Me profile page. This sets the help level that will be the default for all application pages.
- A page-level help level can be set on any page to override the default for that page. This is set by a drop down menu under the Functions menu on the left side of the pages.
